About Betty's Blog
I recently retired from public education after teaching sixth grade in Texas for twenty years. I come from a family of teachers, so you can imagine what our family talks about when we get together. We share funny stories, concerns, and successful experiences about teaching. I admit that I have always been computer challenged, so blogging is a big step for me. I have been amazed at how easy it is and how meaningful it is for me to stay in touch with other teachers.
My two grandsons, ages two and five, keep me busy thinking of new ways to entertain them. I love to teach them new things. They are also teaching me a lot. My husband Ron and I have three fantastic children. We have been married for thirty eight years and love spending time with our growing family.
One of my favorite sayings is "Find something to laugh about every day." Okay, I also say, "Get over your fine self" a lot. I believe in having as much fun as I possibly can. I also love to give advice, so maybe I will start a "Dear BettyB Blog" in the future.
