2010 for real?

A number divisible by 2, 3, 5, and 6?  It sounds like a good math problem for sixth graders.

I am so lucky to have so many blogging friends.  It's just so much fun.  I keep waiting to see who is going to post their resolutions first, so I decided it would be me.:)

My resolutions for 2010 are:

  • Use bullets less, obviously not the real ones, but the ones you see here
  • Blog more
  • Organize everything
  • Finish one book that's been in the works for over a year and really get started on another in progress
  • Worry less
  • Relax more
  • Substitute more
  • Get my iPod to work again
  • Talk my son or one of my son-in-laws to install a DVD player for me
  • Throw away stuff I don't use even though it seems important to me somehow
  • Eat healthier
  • Drink more water; ten drops a day just aren't cutting it
  • Give up Coke (the drink)
  • Spend more time with my family and friends

Have a wonderful New Year and 2010.  Relax, put your feet up, and just get cozy.

I enjoyed reading your resolutions, but I just don't make resolutions any more.

Instead of making "to do" lists, I write in my calendar only appointments and the THINGS I'VE ACCOMPLISHED during the day. I write business accomplishments in black, and personal accomplishments in green.  Business appointments are in black, and personal appointments are in blue.

Then I can look back at the end of the day, or end of the week and feel like I really got something done!

That's an impressive list.  Good luck!

I'm never prepared to make resolutions by the time the next year rolls around.  In three months, I have a big birthday coming up, so if I were to have a resolution it would be to feel like I've accomplished something professionally.  I'd better hurry up!

Happy New Year, Miss Betty! Thank you for your wonderful blog! And if those boys don't come over and help you with your DVD player, then the heck with them. Never to old to spank, ya know. (Just kidding!)

Here's to a wonderful year!

So since you're obviously not going to use real bullets less, should the rest of us invest in Kevlar?

Mr. D, I will be laughing all day about that one.  It's probably not a bad idea.:)

Another blogging friend of mine came up with the idea of a word for the year.  I like that.  My word for 2010 is BRAVE.

Sounds like you have some great goals for 2010.  If you have any ideas for how to be successful in the "worry less, relax more," and "eat healther," department, I'd love to hear them!  One idea for your "Throw away stuff I don't use even though it seems important to me somehow," goal, you might consider taking a picture of the somewhat useful item and then getting rid of it.  That way you can still look back at the object and remember all of the memories associated with it, but without it taking up a lot of space.  Just an idea.  :)

Cheers,

Happy New Year Betty!

I guess, I'll be the only one to ask:  What happened to your ipod?  Can I help?  You know, students can often fix problems.

My ipod just seemed to run out of juice even though I put it in the charger.  It does absolutely nothing.:( I've gone back to listening to CDs and the radio.  How sad is that?
