    No spam sent by me

Thank you Mystery Teacher for letting me know that someone is sending out spam emails with my address.  Please let me know if any of you are also receiving spam emails supposedly from me.

You can email me through my blog or report it to Teacher Lingo on the feedback tab at the top.  I have reported it and hopefully, the spam emails will stop soon.

As for the person who is doing it, please find a better use of your time.

Thank you again, Mystery Teacher, for the heads up about this irritating problem.

Most likely what happened is a spammer has a computer automatically crawl around on the internet, harvesting email addresses. Spam is then sent out with spoofed "from" addresses from the harvested list. It's just another thing in life to have to put up with :oP. It takes about zero effort from the spammer since it's all automated and there's not really any way to reduce the frequency in the future once it's started, but you can prevent it from happening by not posting your e-mail address in public. There are other possibilities, but that one is of the likeliest. :oP Congrats on being on the list of must-read teacher blogs, which is where I found you.

    Frank,

Thanks for the explanation.  I probably do give out my email a little too freely.  Thank you for the congrats and for checking out my blog.
