What's a guy gotta do to get a cup of coffee around here? Oh, my. The recent horror felt by coffee driven customers when finding that all free standing Starbucks were temporarily closed due to scheduled training sessions was fodder for the media. People were out of control. Some drove from one Starbucks to another only to find that they were all closed. Where could they possibly get a cup of decent coffee?
No wonder young people are growing up to think that money grows on trees and that it's okay to get mad about anything, no matter how trivial. Don't get me wrong. I love an occasional trip to Starbucks. However, it's not on my list of everyday fixes. A steaming cup of coffee made at home or purchased from Whataburger works just fine for me.
The next thing will be a chapter of Starbucks Anonymous. People without funds or gas money will have to join SA online to tell their stories.
Some people think that Starbucks planned the closings to all be at the same time in order to get media attention and pump up their sales. Since the media went into a feeding frenzy, it probably worked. It's amusing that closing Starbucks got about as much attention as the debate between Clinton and Obama. No wonder kids get their priorities confused.
